COMMEMORATIVE TEA

 

Sweet Simplici-Tea is planning a Commemorative Tea on Saturday, September 11 and will feature teaware designed and created by the Shelley A. Marshall Foundation to honor the memory of Shelley who lost her life in the attacks on the U.S. on 9/11/2001.

Seating is open.  Come in and enjoy Anna's Choice or Royal Tea.  Literature from the Foundation will be available.  Commemorative Teaware will be available. 

We will be serving a special blend of tea this day.  The name of the tea is Commemorative Tea.  It is especially blended by one of the wonderful tea experts we purchase from. 

Sweet Simplici-Tea is thankful for the heroic actions of so many men and women that day and many days to follow, in an effort to sort through the questions, to search for the living, to aid the hurt and afflicted, to minister to the hurting. If you have been touched by this tragedy and wish to bring in photos of those you know who lost their lives that day, Sweet Simplic-Tea will have a table set to display these photos and memories.  Feel free to share your story.

We thank God for this country and the freedom we have and the freedom He gives to us.

 

OCTOBER EVENTS

OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Last year Sweet Simplici-Tea made a generous donation to the Susan Komen Foundation as part of their ongoing research and efforts to bring increased awareness of breast cancer to the public. This was only made possible because our generous patrons visited us for Afternoon Tea and purchased breast cancer awareness products. We hope to once again make a donation to the Foundation. 

Sweet Simplici-Tea will have pink ribbon cookies for sale as well as pink ribbon lollipops.  There will also be a few T-shirts for sale which we are having customized. Afternoon Tea (Anna's Choice) and Royal Tea will be served all month and a profit of our sales will help us to make a donation.  Visit us anytime during the month of October.  Breast Cancer has touched too many lives.

Scone Class - Wednesday, October 20

                         11 a.m.   and   2 p.m.

This is being offered by popular demand.  We had so much fun the first time around!  We will be making a holiday scone.

Cost:  $20.00 and includes Lite Lunch, Scone Ingredients, 1/2 dozen

         scones to take home and recipe

DECEMBER

Sweet Simplici-Tea is busy planning it's Holiday Calendar.  We are planning two Candlelight Teas and one Holiday Buffet Tea.  We are also planning a Cookie Exchange.  You won't want to miss any of these wonderful Holiday events. Mark your calendar early.  All of our holiday events are by Reservation Only.  We are beginning to take reservations now.

Harpist, Bonnie Kofsky will be featured at both of our Candlelight Teas.  If have heard her music before, you know how lovely and peaceful it is.  If you have not, it is truly gorgeous!

CANDLELIGHT TEA DATES:

Wednesday, December 8.   6 p.m.

Wednesday, December 15.  6 p.m.

Cost:  $35 per person (tax and gratuity not included in this price)

COOKIE EXCHANGE: 

Saturday, December 11.   4 p.m.

Cost:  $15 per person  - This price includes a Lite Tea Fare and you get to take

          lots of cookies home!  Bring shopping bags to take home all your

          goodies.  The amount of cookies you will be required to make for

          exchange depends on the number of people attending. All cookies

          brought for exchange should be pre packaged.  Be sure to include your

          recipe with your cookies. (Tax and gratuity not included in this price)

HOLIDAY BUFFET TEA

Saturday, December 18.   5 p.m.

Cost:  $30 per person (tax and gratuity not included in this price)
